SMART FRAME ™:
SpeasTech products use an invisible grid of infrared light beams on an X-Y axis.
The grid is continually scanned to identify any coordinates where the beam has been broken.
When a beam is interrupted, the coordinates are sent to the 'Smart Controller'.
A green light is illuminated to indicate where the next pick is to be made. If the correct
location is chosen (that is, the correct X-Y coordinates are broken), the 'Smart Controller' will
illuminate the light where the next pick is to be made.
If an incorrect pick is attempted, an alarm will sound alerting the operator to
go to the correct location instead (where the green light will continue to be illuminated).
By reprogramming the 'Smart Controller' in PROGRAM mode, the sequence of operations can be quickly
changed to accommodate virtually any possible combination of bin picks.
Alternatively, SMART FRAME DESIGNER ™, a SpeasTech, PC-based software product, can be used to specify
frame configuration and pick sequences. Using the download function, the software can transfer new data
to the 'Smart Controller'
In addition to the Smart Frame, SpeasTech also supply two other error proofing
devices - Smart Bin and Smart Gate XL.
SMART BIN ™:
The Smart Bin is easily programmed by performing a 'pick-by-do' sequence whilst
set to the 'learn' mode. When RUN mode is selected, the Smart Bin automatically prompts the operator through
the parts sequence.
A Smart Bin consists of six bins arranged in two rows of three. Each bin
is 5" (127mm) high x 6.75 (171mm) wide x 10" (254mm) deep. Custom sizes are
available if required.
SMART GATE XL ™:
All electronics are integrated into the aluminium extrusion, resulting in an extremely
compact design. Various sizes of Smart Gate XL are available.
